Boss Martin Jol said he felt “rotten” after seeing his expensive Tottenham side slump to a defeat against Everton but believes they will come good. Spurs have spent £40m on players over the summer but began the season with a 1-0 defeat at Sunderland before losing 3-1 at home on Wednesday.
Jol’s side were booed at half-time against Everton and he told BBC Sport: “I feel as rotten as I did on Saturday.
“We will do better. It is a kick in the teeth but we will bounce back.”
